P2 and P3 MacMillan Charity Juice Biscuits Afternoon
On Thursday 26th September P2 and P3 organised a cake stall and cafe and invited every class to visit during the afternoon. The event was extremely popular with the children and raised an amazing £330 for the MacMillan Cancer Charity.
Smoke Free Me
Primary 7 children have been invited to attend the Smoke Free Me performance at Dalintober on Monday 28th October at 9.30 am. A permission slip will be issued shortly after the October holiday and should be returned to school no later than Friday 25th October.
We have a number of exciting clubs starting after the October holiday.

Tuesdays P4 & P5
Tag Rugby 3.30 - 4.30pm
Wednesdays P6 & P7
Netball 3.30 - 4.30pm

Mr Renton & Mr Reid
9 pupils from P3 - P7 have been elected by their classes to be their Pupil Council representatives
We will shortly be introducing recorder playing to pupils in Primary 4. In the interest of health and hygiene it is best if pupils have their own recorder. To this end the school will be sending off an order for recorders in the near future. If you would like your child to have his/her own recorder (cost £6), please complete the slip attached to the Newsletter (Primary 4-7 only) and return it to school by Friday 25th October.
The Giving Machine
Please visit The Giving Machine website. If you shop online through the Giving Machine, the retailers will donate to PTA funds.
Clerk to the Parent Council
There is still a vacancy for the post of clerk to the Parent Council. There are currently four regular meetings a year to attend and write minutes for, for which there is a payment of £5.85 per hour. If anyone is intersted please contact Mr Long.
You should already have received information about the Flu Immunisation Programme that Castlehill is part of this year. The vaccination, which will be in the form of a nasal spray, will take place during Friday 25th October and Monday 28th October. Please note that the letter recently sent to you from NHS stated "that if your child fails to attend school on the day of the vaccinations they will not be offered any further appointments by the school service. No appointments will be available from GP practice unless your child has an underlying medical condition."
