Kintyre Music Festival

Well done to all the children that took part in the Music Festival last week.  Special congratulations to the cup winners who also performed at the Festival Concert.

Bring and Buy Sale and Go Green Day

P7 and P5 organised a very successful joint Bring and Buy Sale and Go Green Day, raising the amazing sum of £538.29.  P7 were raising funds to continue to sponsor Erik, an Armenian boy, through the 'World Vision' organisation, and P5 were raising money for school funds.  Thanks to all the children and Mrs Watson and Mrs Hardman, and to parents and carers for your donations.

Baldy Cup

Two teams from Castlehill represented the school very well at the Baldy Cup in May at the All Weather Pitch.  The A team were successful in winning the tournament and retaining the Cup.  Well done to all those who took part.

Primary 1 visited Carradale for a forest explorers' day.

 

Primary 2 took part in a football festival at the All Weather Pitch.

 

Primary 2 invited parents and carers in for Open afternoon about their moon topic.

 

Primary 2 and 3 have a visit to Carradale forest planned.

 

Primary 4 and 5 have a visit to Cruachan Dam planned.

 

Primary 5 have visited the Wind Towers.

 

Primary 5 have been invited to take part in a Mini Commonwealth Games at the All Weather Pitch.

 

Primary 5 will be involved in a Samba Carnival at the Victoria Hall on Tuesday 24th June.

 

Primary 5 have had a 4 week block tennis coaching.  Primary 6 have also used the tennis courts.

 

Children in Primary 6 have completed their six week programme of Cycling Proficiency sessions and assessment.

 

Primary 7 children went on their residential trip to Edinburgh.

 

Children in Primary 7 have had the opportunity to take part in a secondary transition trip to Ardentinny and a transition week at the Grammar School.

 

Glasgow Science Centre visited the school to deliver Bodyworks activities for all children.
