Here is an outline of some activities that P3-4 will be taking part in during the school week.
Tuesday and Friday - gym shoes or trainers and shorts required. We are also completing our ‘daily mile’ in the playground. It is important that pupils bring gym shoes or trainers to school every day to take part in this activity.
Pupils will be set a variety of tasks to be completed at home covering Language and Literacy (including reading), Maths and Numeracy and research activities. These will be designed to reinforce work covered in school and it would be appreciated if you could sign the work once completed. All homework should be completed and handed in by the Friday of the same week, except for reading which will be heard twice a week. It will be dated in your child’s reading record. Please feel free to write a short comment on how your child reads to you at home!
As a reward for good behaviour we have Golden Time on a Friday before home time. Children are encouraged to bring in a game that can be played with others - no electronic games or tablets please! We shall be cooking various foods throughout the year, please let me know if your child has any allergies that may prevent them from joining in.
